Chew On This!!

Target has a deal on Quaker Granola Bars, $2.19 each.  In the ad, there is a $5 off $15 purchase Quaker, Pepsi, and 2 other products which can't recall at the moment.   However, it ends today.  With that being said,  I got 7 boxes of Quaker Granola Bars for $5.51.  That's $.79 per box.

1- $5.00 off $15 purchase of Quaker,  Pepsi,  etc coupon
5% off my total by using my Target Red Card

Frugal Friday: Coliseum Central

Today,  I did a little shopping with my coupons,  of course!!  First, I went to Sally's Beauty Supply Store to renew my membership card and pick up a few items.  My total was $34.85 for 3 Design Essential products (15% off coupon), Silk element heat protectant (FREE Coupon),  bobby pins (15% off),  end wraps (15% off), island tote bag (FREE Coupon), and membership renewal (50% off). I also received a $5 off $5 coupon for my next purchase.

Next,  I stopped in JCPenney.  I used my $10 off $10 to purchase a workout shirt.  After the coupon and taxes, my total was $2.11.  For my second and third order, I had a $15 off $15 coupon for each.  My second order was $1.24 for another workout shirt and a pair of earrings.  Lastly, my third order was $4.21 for 1 men's shirt, 1 pr of Jr's shorts, and 1 Jr's top. 

Then I headed to Victoria's Secret to use my FREE "un"mentionables coupon and $10 off a bra. They had sports bras on sale for $30.00 with my coupons my total ended up $21.31.  BTW, if you try on a sports bra you will get a reward coupon that may be for $5 off, $10 off, or a FREE sports bra until June 9. 

While I walking back to my car, I spotted a sign in front of Claire's.....10 FOR $10.  My eyes lit up!! I got 10 earrings,  2 headbands,  and 1 pair of sunglasses for $13.92.

I think today went pretty well!

Thrifty Thursday: No Newspaper, No Problem

If you don't want to get a newspaper subscription just for the coupons, then there are other options for you.

Did you get a Golden Ticket?

I GOT MINE and I'm excited!!  The golden ticket that I am referring to is the coupon from JCPenney that I got in the mail yesterday. It's $10 off $10, good June 4-15.  Some may have received a $15 off $15, which is even better.  That's pretty much free money, if you use it right.  When I get these type of coupons from any store, I only purchase the exact amount needed. I try not to  go over too much if I can help it because im only trying to leave the store paying tax. 

There is also a $10 off $25 coupon, good June 5-7.  That's a maximum savings of 40%, if you only spend the minimum of $25.

Clip Tip Tuesday: Bed Bath & Beyond

Bed Bath & Beyond store coupons are good for use beyond their expiration. So don't toss those expired coupons that you got in the mail last month.  Keep them & put them to good use.

They also accept competitors' coupons for products available at those competitors.

The Basics

I want to start off by giving a few basic tips:

*Subscribe to your local newspaper, at least Sundays only.  Most coupons will be found in the Sunday's paper.  If you do not want to subscribe, you can always pick up the newspaper from your local Dollar Tree.

*Cut out the coupons for the items that you may use or may want to use or try in the future.  It will either be on sale currently or in the near future.  

*Get a coupon holder to store your coupons in.  It makes it a lot easier to find them when you are in the store.  You can purchase one of these from the Dollar Tree, as well.

*Shop the weekly ads.  Most of the items on sale for the week has a coupon that is in the Sunday newspaper currently or the week before.  

*Sign up for online coupons and reward cards/clubs.  Most signups are free and offer a

*Know the store's coupon policy.  You can find most store's coupon policies online, if not visit the customer service desk for additional information.

*Most items have a sale cycle.  For example,  the best deals on toiletries like toilet paper and paper towels are at the beginning of the month.  Once you get in to it,  you will see exactly what I'm talking about.
