Thanksgiving is a time when we come together,
The family and the friends regardless of the weather,
We give thanks for the blessings all year long,
We celebrate with prayer, food, football, and even a song,
We're a blessed people, we all know it's true,
So why are we disgruntled some with a bad attitude,
God in His mercy has given us the best,
Sometimes to get there, we must pass a test,
The holidays magnify His mercy and grace,
It slows us down from the speed of life's own race,
Rejoice in the place where you find yourself now,
One day soon you'll look back and say, Wow!
Enjoy this time in the land of the living,
It's a blessing from Him, "Happy Thanksgiving!"
